I’ve been working with social purpose businesses for almost a decade. It brings me great satisfaction seeing people overcome their own barriers. A lot can be achieved when we really believe in ourselves and trust our ability to make the right decisions.
I often work with start ups and solo entrepreneurs for that reason, I love supporting someone to make their dream work. But I also love working with leaders of established organisations and seeing them empowered to take their business to the next level!
Certified coach and member of the Association for Coaching
Certified Action learning facilitator
Trauma Informed trained as part of the Thrive London Programme
Qualification in counselling skills (although what I do is not counselling, they do come in handy!)
Mental health first aid trained
Fully insured with personal indemnity and liability
I’ve designed and facilitated group workshops for Universities, The School for Social Entrepreneurs, Social Enterprise Networks in the UK, SME’s and supported many organisations with 1-1 consultancy work.
I also speak at events, run workshops, chair conference sessions, host networking events and facilitate board consultations. I can support you for team away days and help you work together to create strong outcomes.
Choosing a Coach
1- How do you feel about them initially. You don’t have to ‘like’ your coach or consultant. But if you are finding them difficult or hard to connect to then it’s going to be difficult to trust their judgement or opinions.
I’m happy to have a chat with you and make sure we’re compatible before you need to make any decisions. If you’re not happy then it’s not going to work anyway!
2- What’s their area of specialism? Do they know anything about the area or sector you need them to? All business isn’t the same and not all challenges need one kind of approach.
I work largely with people working in social purpose organizations or start ups. Because I’ve been working with those organizations for almost a decade, I understand there’s more to success than targets on a graph.
3 – Do they offer the support you need? Coaching, mentoring and consulting are often lumped in to one pile. But they are actually very different ways of working. Make sure whoever you choose is happy to have a chat about what you need.
I’m happy to tweak and adapt what I offer to make sure you get where you want to be. Your journey is more important than conforming to a model way of working! Find out more about me here
“Fearless means trusting your instincts and clarity of thought. Once you have made up your mind, don’t be scared of what if.”
Part of the joy in belonging to the social purpose sector is that we understand there is more to the world than making money.
As part of my social impact commitment, I have some spaces for subsidised coaching and consultancy support so please don’t let price be a barrier to you.
If you would like to try coaching but work for a social purpose start up, or are a sole trader, then drop me a message at the bottom of the page and we’ll figure something out together!
1-1 Coaching or Mentoring can be provided short or long term to suit your needs. The fee is £95 for a session of up to 90 minutes. Or you can book 6 x 90 minutes for £550 (they can be split over any time scale that suits you). If cost is an option please get in touch as I may have resources to support you financially.
Consultation, facilitation and strategy development is priced per proposal but my standard day rate is £300-£500. Please do drop me a line to chat about what you need, I’m very happy to support you where you are and have programmes to provide affordable support for smaller organisations and pre-start ups.
Action learning Facilitation is £250 for a half day session of up to 6 people with follow up. I’d recommend booking a set of 4 sessions for only £900. The full set will give you a chance to work through, and come back to the group aims, ambitions or challenges. I would suggest these are done 4-6 weekly but we can set them up however works for you and your group. Within the sessions I will help you learn the tools you need to continue this really successful problem solving and team building technique without me!
Workshops are £250- £400, lasting between 1 and 4 hours. I can tailor the session to your needs and it includes some follow up support if needed. If I need to travel I may charge for travel costs.
All sessions can be held online or face to face to suit the needs of you and your business
Let’s Have a Conversation
I always say there are no stupid questions, so there’s no harm in asking. Tell me what you are dealing with right now and let’s see if I can help!
“Jess is amazing! She’s great at getting people organised, finding the gaps in a plan and getting them filled, and helping people to realise their own strengths and how to develop them further. She’s firm without being bossy, funny without being unprofessional and has a genuine desire to help others be the best they can be.”
